Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is an 84-bed facility providing the latest amenities and technology in a convenient west county location. Acquired in 1989 by BJC HealthCare the hospital and its campus surroundings provide a wide range of adult and pediatric medical services.
The hospital recently underwent a renovation that included building a new EmergencyDepartment, updating patient rooms, modernizing operating suites and expanding radiology services and technologies.
In 2008, Washington University Physicians expanded its practice bringing more than 160 specialists to the professional buildings and assuming responsibility for several key clinical departments of the hospital. Also in 2008, the emergency department came under the management of Washington University physicians.
The hospital campus comprises the main building, plus three adjacent medical buildings, and a medical building across N. Mason ( 969 N. Mason Road). The emergency room is in the eastern wing of the main hospital building.
The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center West County is located in Medical Building 2.
